Annual Club Projects

Annual Charity Golf Outing and Steak Dinner - Before we hunker down for another Wisconsin winter, The Club hosts a charity golf outing at the Hartford Golf Club the second Monday in September.  Participants enjoy a quick lunch before playing a round of 4-Person Scramble golf during the afternoon.  Afterwards, we all gather in the clubhouse for drinks and a steak dinner to discuss what went wrong with our game and award Silent Auction and Raffle prizes.  Over the last 5 years, the event has distributed over $45,000 to local charities.

Calendar Raffle - Do you feel lucky?  Whether you answer yes or no, purchasing a calendar raffle for $10 from any club member or supporting business benefits the local community.  Each day throughout the year a name is drawn from the pool of entries who then receives a check ranging from $10 - $500!!  These make great stocking stuffers around the holidays and the names of winners appear monthly in The Booster.

Pancake Day -  Each November, The Club hosts a pancake breakfast in conjunction with the Great Hartford Crafts Expo at the Hartford Union High School.  Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance from Lion Members.  If you plan on attending, bring the family and come with a hearty appetite!

 Although each project is fun and exciting, they do serve a greater purpose.  Proceeds from each event go toward local projects and charitable causes to help our community and its individuals.  That is why "We Serve" is the motto for all Lions Clubs.
