Constitution Day Flags for Schools.

September 16th, 2016:

The Holladay Lions club presented 175 small American flags on stands to first-grade students at
Granger Elementary School in West Valley. Granger Elementary has over 40
different languages are spoken, more than any other school in Granite
District. Which shows that the school is very multinational.
Lion president Steve Gibby and Steve Clinger made the presentation.

 

 

Youth Making a Difference

"Youth Making a Difference",  a Utah
non-profit organization, that is preparing for service expeditions in
the Fall of 2016 and the Spring of 2017. YMAD is assembling a team of
high school aged students (entering their Senior Year the fall of 2016)
from the Wasatch Front to participate in expeditions to India.They will be trained in leadership skills, fundraising, community
service, and humanitarian work. Students will be participating in
gathering educational and medical supplies, charitable donations, and
other items. Participants will then travel to India to distribute the
collected items and perform service-related tasks and interact with
children at the various orphanages and government schools in India.

Each of the 3 girls that were with Gretta told about their experiences
last year in Sunder Nagar, India.  Teens must raise $3900 to participate
in the expedition. Because YMAD is a 501c(3) all the funds raised are
tax deductible.
