Windfall with Treasures         June 2015

You never know when you might become a player in the Perfect Storm.

A member of the Hoodsport Lions Club was in the right place at the right time to become the recipient of a large amount of surplus educational materials.  Wonderful, new items that could make a difference for  many local students.

For the cost of a rental truck, the use of an empty garage, a few phone calls, and a cheery group of Lions, willing to lift, sort, count and deliver, four schools (so far) have received these gifts that will be used next year.

Thrilled students (Preschool-Grade 8) & staff will use these items as part of the curriculum, as rewards for good behavior, and as incentives to achieve. Hood Canal School, McCleary School, Belfair Elementary, and a Refugee School, are excited to share these supplies in learning experiences.

Hoodsport Lions Club Members are pleased to fulfill a need, donate the materials and demonstrate that “We Serve!”
