For 48 years, the club held a Friday night pancake supper. The project has always been a way of raising money to help the blind and visually impaired.

Times have changed since the beginning. Huntersville has grown from a village of  fewer than 2,000 residents to a town of almost 40,000. In the beginning there were almost no options for eating out, but now the opportunities abound.

The club decided this year to change from a supper to a breakfast, and from Friday night to Saturday morning. The venue also changed  from the elementary school to Huntersville United Methodist Church on Stumptown Road.

Preliminary reports for the meal indicate the 2012 changeover was a success in every way.
