Monthly Projects:

Our Club celebrates member's birthdays during the first Thursday meeting of every month. 

We host speakers from the community during the second Thursday meeting of every month.

Each month, members of the club makes our streets a little cleaner and safer through the Lee's Summit Road Clean-up Project.

The club's monthly Eye Glasses Collection at various locations is on-going.

 

Annual Projects:

In late June and early July, the club annually sponsors a Fireworks Tent in the Nuts and Bolts parking lot on Noland Road to raise funds for community projects, scholarships and youth events. 

In December, our Annual Pancake Day is a fundraiser for our many projectswhich benefit the community. 

The Independence Host Club annually supports the Civic Club Challenge Food Drive held in May and August. 

The club participates in the Independence School District Annual Holiday Helper Program.

Special Projects:

Independence Host Lending Library is a non-profit corporation created by the Independence Host Club in partnership with Independence School District.

The club provides High School Student Scholarships annually to students at Truman High School, Chrisman High School, Van horn High School and the Independence Academy. 

In partnership with the Truman Heartland Foundation, the Independence Host Club responds to requests from the community for Hearing testing and eye glasses. 

In partnership with the Independence School District, the club participates in the Peace Poster contest and scholarship program.
