On Friday 13th January 2012 Officers and members of the Club together with two other local Clubs celebrated what would have been Melvin Jones's 133rd birthday at a local commercial centre, and took the opportunity to talk to passersby about the Lions.

On 24th September 2011 the Club took part in a Sponsored Sky Jump which raised in excess of 12,000€ for local charities. The photo shows Andrea Aitchison, one of the two organisers of the event, as she leaves the plane at 12,000ft.

On 7th June 2011 President Stuart Aitchison presented the Orba Youth Club with a cheque to cover the costs of some of the furniture in their new premises.

About a hundred people - and a dozen dogs! - joined us on our Blossom Walk in the Jalon Valley on Sunday 13th February, and everyone had a wonderful time. The weather was perfect and the blossom was spectacular - and nobody got lost!

On 18th September 2010 the Club organised an Abseil sponsored by local firm Blevins Franks. It attracted enormous support and eventually brought in funds of more than 5,000€! Details have been passed to Lions International at their request...
