An initiative taken for females of State Women’s Home by Lions Club of Guwahati Kamrupa to make them feel that they are not left alone by the Society and celebrated Raksha-Bandhan with them. The Girls, Females of State Women’s Home had tied Rakhi in the hands of members of Lions Kamrupa and the members of Club given gifts to them as Saree, Salwar Suits, Chadar as a token of love to their sisters telling them that “I am your Brother”. All the Seventy Five females of the State Women’s Home have been given gifts by the club and accepted all of them as their sisters. The President of the Club Lion Sudhir Choudhary thanked Mrs. Bora, Superintendent of the State Women’s Home and other staff’s for their love & affection towards inmates and helping the club for helping the inmates. The Program Chairman Lion Manish Kumar Saini, President Lion Sudhir Choudhary, Secretary Lion Deoki Jogani, Treasurer Lion Navin Kasera were actively participated in the project. The Club has also assured the State Women’s Home employees that they will organise a health Check-up Camp in the month of September.
