In 1970 a small group of Killingworth men got together and decided there was a need to form a service-based, humanitarian organization. Over forty years later, the Lions Club of Killingworth Connecticut thrives with over fifty-five active volunteers.
Lions are dedicated to sight initiatives, creating opportunities for youth, local causes and humanitarian efforts without borders.
When Lions anywhere are called to lend a hand, help a neighbor, or are summoned for an emergency there is no hesitation.
A special thanks to Mary & George Keithan for funding this and many other Lions Club projects.
Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
