Low Vision Magnifiers
The Dixieland Lions have two low vision magnifiers currently on loan to those who might be helped with these machines.
One is the Optelec ClearView C, a modern desktop video magnifier that is designed to improve your reading experience. The unique design provides you with more working space and helps you to read your favorite newspaper, enjoy craftwork or write without being restricted in movement.
We also have a Merlin. Merlin offers the greatest value and picture quality available. Boasting an ergonomic design, this flexible desktop magnifier allows you to pivot and adjust the screen for your most comfortable viewing position.
Merlin’s Split screen mode lets you view magnified images and the computer simultaneously. Merlin’s screen easily pivots vertically and/or horizontally to better accommodate peripheral or eccentric viewing.
The Merlin lets people with low vision, macular degeneration, retinitis pigmentosa, glaucoma, and cataracts read-write and regain their visual independence.
