The Lake of the Woods Lions Club is located in a recreational community in the Eastern end of Orange County, Virginia. We are located on Route 3 between Fredericksburg and Culpeper. Our club was chartered in September 1982. Our membership at this time is 94 members.

The LOW Lions were well represented with awards from the Lake of the Woods Association (LOWA) at their annual meeting on Labor Day.  Lion Stan Lasover received a Distinguished Service Award for his many contributions to our community as King Lion including working with Orange County Public schools in re-establishing the Bland Musical Contest, providing scholarships and teacher grants, and funding the Orange County High School Team in the Robotics Competition.  Lion Dave Francis received a Distinguished Service Award for his leadership of the Wilderness Food Pantry.  Lion Kathy Genson received an award for her dedicated service as a member of the LOWA board.
Lions Jeff Flynn, Lee Frame, Eldon Rucker and Bob Shope were also recognized as former presidents of the LOWA.  Former Lion Betty Beck served as a member of the LOWA awards committee.
