The Lakewood Knights Lions Club was chartered on June 18, 1981 with 27 members.  Our first President was (Ed Hildebrandt)  who was a retired Air Force pilot.  The Lakewood Knights have one charter member and 2 members who joined in the first six months of chartering who are still active in the club.  The Lakewood Knights have met in many locations in the Lakewood Community sice their charter.  Some of the locations they have met include; Meadow Park Gold Course, Burr's Restaurant, Leslie's, Leslie's II, Lakewood Denny's, Lakewood Restaurant, and Clover Park Technical College, to mention a few.

Lions meet the needs of local communities and the world every day because they share a cor belief - to serve their community.

The Lions motto is "We Serve".  Lions are part of a global service network, doing whatever is necessary to help out local communities.
