The Lamar Lions Club are proud to take part in the Lions Kidsight program. Vision screening provided by Lions Club members in coordination with local early childhood centers help in early detection of various vision disorders. Many undetected vision problems, if left untreated can lead

to permanent vision loss in children.  A schedual of vision screening times and locations will be posted on the calender page as soon as they are set.

The Lamar Lions Club, along with the generosity of the Lamar community, helps meet some of the needs of the Fort Lyon Supportive Residential Community in their effort to provide recovery oriented transitional housing to homeless individuals. Through donations made by the community, the Lamar Lions Club is able to gather and transport items to The Fort Lyon Supportive Residential Community. Upon completion of the program,

residents will be assisted to obtain housing and employment as they return to their community of choice. Donations provided that include clothing, general everyday toiletries and simple furnishings, help to make the transition from homelessness to reintegration easier.
