DIABETES AWARENESS COMMITTEE

The Diabetes Awareness Committee studies the needs of diabetics or potential diabetics in the community and determines how the club can best meet these needs. The committee shall propose service activities to the club board of directors and cooperate with other committees who have similar goals.

PEDIATRIC SERVICES COMMITTEE

EDUCATIONAL SERVICES COMMITTEE

Education is one of the most important keys to human advancement and improvement.  The Educational Services Committee should determine how it can best contribute to education in the community or assist programs in other areas.  Proposes service activities such as scholarship program, sponsoring speech or easy contest, sponsoring vocational assistance program and all other educational activities.

INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS COMMITTEE

The International Relations Committee proposes activities that will involve its club in creating and fostering a spirit of understanding among the peoples of the world. It also consults with the district governor and/or the district international relations chairman and cooperates in any district goal or project of an international nature.

 ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES COMMITTEE

The Environmental Services Committee not only encourages community action in solving various environmental problems but also studies these problems and has its club become an example for solving these problems. It helps create and maintain conditions under which people and nature can exist in productive harmony.  Proposes service activities to the club board of  directors.

LEO CLUB/YOUTH SERVICES COMMITTEE

The Leo Club Program Committee would act as the Lions Club’s liaison between an Active Leo Club and the Lions Club.  The Leo Club Committee should reports regularly to the board of directors the progress and activities of the Leo Club.  Maintains an active concern for Leo Club members and their club.

PEACE POSTER CONTEST

The Peace Posterc Committee is incharge of the Peace Poster Making Contest. The deadline to purchase kits from the Club Supplies Sales Department at International Headquarters is October 1.  Make sure that one winning poster will be sent to the district governor before the 15th of November or  before the deadline set by the governor.

SIGHT SERVICES COMMITTEE

Helen Keller charged the Lions to become knights of the blind.  Since her dynamic charge, Lions have dedicated countless hours and resources to the care and treatment of the blind and visually impaired, as well as to sight preservation.  This Committee’s primary responsibility is to the local community.  Most Lions Clubs actively provide vision screening and eyeglass services to those who cannot afford it in their community.  This committee is vital to every Lions Club in fulfilling its motto “We Serve”.  It is the Lions greatest tradition to care for the blind and prevent future blindness wherever possible.
