Recipients of Club Donations

The Barton Center is an educational camp in N. Oxford, MA that provides programs for children who live with diabetes and those that care for them through learning shared experiences combined to support and motivate children and families.

The Carroll Center for the Blind is a rehab center in Newton, MA that delivers state of the art assistive technology and consultation services to empower people who are blind or visually impaired to reach their full potential.

Thanksgiving Food Baskets are provided to the needy in our community and provide a complete dinner with all the fixings for the entire family.

Ginny's Helping Hand, Inc. is a non-profit organization in Leominster dedicated to improving the everyday living needs of the less fortunate in our community. 

 

Leominster Lions Club ran a food drive for Ginny's Food Pantry in September, 2021 and filled the truck with 318 items.

 

North Star Family Services is an emergency shelter in Leominster that provides a safe, secure and clean living space for up to five homeless families simultaneously in a community living/group environment.

 

Scholarships: We offer 1 - 2 scholarships each year to the graduating student of Leominster High School who has demonstrated volunteerism through community service in his/her young life. See the 2022 winner on our cover page.

Meal Vouchers & Gift Baskets to Needy Senior Citizens 

 

 

Lions Peace Poster Contest is an art contest open to middle school children aged 11 - 13. Students were given the theme, 'Lead with Compassion' with guidelines for them to express that theme on paper. Congratulations to our 2023 winners shown below: Cassandra Long from Samoset Middle School stating her depiction is 'Leaders in different countries holding peace in their hands to show kindness, caring and love for their  community' and Isabella Deya fom St. Leo's School staing hers  is 'Unite together towards Peace.' Each winner received a certificate plus a check for $25.
