Brass Band Concerts

Each year we hold a Brass Band Concert for the boroughs Senior Citizens.  Entry is usually a nominal £1 and there is a free raffle and a plated supper.

Senior Citizens Christmas Shopping Night

A few years ago, the large Tesco Extra store in Leyland asked if we would organise a Senior Citizens Shopping Night.  We of course said that we would and an annual event was born.  Click Here for photo's.

 Supermarket Collections

We rattle our tins and buckets at most of the local supermarkets to raise funds.  Thanks must go to Sainsburys Bamber Bridge,  Morrisons Leyland and Tesco Leyland

Carnivals and Gala's

We attend various Carnivals and Galas in our local area usually with our gazebo and tombola stall.  Carnivals attended this year include Lostock Hall, New Longton, Accrington, Penwortham and  a new event, the Leyland Transport Festival (click HERE for photo's).

 Lions Craft Fair

A new event for us in 2009 was the organisation of a Craft Fair.  This proved to be very successful and it is hoped to make it an annual event.

Presentation Evening

Of course, raising money is only one side of the coin (so to speak).  We have to give some of the money back to the community we serve.  To do this we hold an annual Presentation Evening where local charities and deserving organisations come along, tell us a little of what they do and formally receive their cheques.  Photos from the 2008 evening can be viewed HERE.
