August 2017 Yard Sale

The Louisa County Lions Club thanks everyone who donated items for our August 5th yard sale. We also thank all those who found and bought things that they couldn’t live without. Because of you, we had a very successful sale, netting more than $7,000! We depend on your generosity and support to continue the work of Lionism in Louisa County, as we have done for 65 years. Last year, we spent $7,625 helping people that needed financial assistance with eye testing and eyeglasses. We spent $2,400 helping people purchase hearing aids. We bought new digital equipment that we use to provide free vision and hearing screening for students in our schools. We awarded two $1000 scholarships to graduates heading to college. And we supported a number of other Louisa non-profit organizations in their work. Again, we can only do this in our community with your continued support and we thank you. Our next sale will be the first Saturday in November. See you there!
