The Lutz-Land O Lakes Lions Club working in conjunction with Scout Troup Three have just finished our third out of four projects for International President Sid L. Scruggs Beacon of Hope Challenge.
On Saturday, November 20th the group got together and worked on the Holiday Project "Feeding America". We assembled 127 dinners that will be distributed for Thanksgiving. We will also be working together on another food drive on December 18th for Christmas meals.
The next project the Scouts and Lions work on will be with the Southwest Florida Water Management District to improve the environment on some of their Public Property.
President of the 4L’s, Claudette Henry, and the Lutz-Land O Lakes Lions are also collecting soda can tabs and can be dropped off at any Lion’s eye glass drop off location, the proceeds from the tabs will be donated to the Shriner’s Hospital.
