Mad River Lions Club Projects

This is a list of the many projects that we currenly undertake. We are always looking for new and different projects that would benefit our community. If you have any ideas or would like to pursue a project that may benefit the community. Please Email us or come to a meeting, we are very interested in new ideas!

  • Stebbins High School Band Camp
  • Stebbins High School Sports Spectacular
  • Ohio Lions STEPS 5K Run, 1K Walk - Proceeds are donated to Childrens Hospital for Children Cancer Research.
  • Home Town Holidays

 

  • Project Share - Our biggest project the Mad River Lions Club takes on. We give out boxes of food to needy people around the community. Can Goods are collected by community businesses and the Mad River Lions club

 

  • Breakfast with Santa - Every year the Mad River Lions Club hosts a Breakfast with Santa feeding needy children in the community and giving them a chance to meet Santa Clause. The whole event is free and the children even receive a toy from Santa.

 

  • Charter Night - This is an annual celebration remembering the founding of the Mad River Lions Club and all the community members we have helped throughout the years.

 

  • Eyeglasses -  Our primary mission is assisting needy community members with eyeglasses that they cannot afford. Impaired sight can impacted anyone’s life, which is why we accept all eyeglasses donations, as well as, give those glasses back to the community.

 

  • Day Of Caring - Every year we host a Pancake Breakfast in our local community, all proceeds go back into the community to provide for their needs.

 

  • School Programs – The Mad River Lions club annual gives to many different school district programs such as the Stebbins AFJROTC  Program, Football and Band programs.

 

  • Mother’s Day Flower Sale – One of our biggest fundraisers, we sell many different kinds of flowers all mother’s day weekend. All proceeds go right back into the community from our many different projects, like Project Share, Breakfast with Santa, and other community projects.

 

  • Scholarships – Every year we provide one or two high school seniors with a 500.00 scholarship to go to any college they desire. Usually, the scholarship process begins in January.

 

  • Montgomery County Fair – Another fundraising project, the Mad River Lions Club is paid to be parking attendants the entire week of the Montgomery County Fair. We use the money to fund our different projects with the community.
