Meetings

Maplewood North Lions Club takes the summer off from Dinner Meetings. We will resume dinner meetings on Tuesday, September 1. Stay tuned for more information.

Our June business meeting is 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16 in the Maple Ridge Community Room at 1695 County Road D East, Maplewood.

Our next Joy Park Neighborhood Preserve monitoring will take place  on Saturday, June 13. Join us at 10 a.m. for a pleasant nature walk and the rewards of assuring this public treasure is clean and safe.

Our next Today's Harvest volunteer opportunity will be Saturday, July 11.  Contact Lion Roger Green at (651) 357-8080 if you'd care to join us in this fun and rewarding service project.

Congratulations to all the officers and Board members for our next fiscal year (starting July 1) who were sworn in at our Charter Night Dinner May 5. Special thanks to 5M6 District Governor Paul Jacobus for being on hand at this annual celebration of our club's founding.

Maplewood North Lions were on hand at the May 15 Relay for Life at Tartan High School. Our Club sponsored the event and handed out literature on Lions programs. What a moving event.

Our Club will be serving hot dogs at the Maplewood Celebrate Summer event at Afton Heights Park on July 8.

Lions were up early to staff water stations at the May 30 Tour de Cure Diabetes Bike Ride. It was fun applauding the "red riders" who have Diabetes  and participated in the event wearing a red shirt.

We collect used eyeglasses! They are truly the "gift of sight" to people in third world countries. In fact, we collected 4,375 pairs last year! If you've got old eyeglasses to contribute, drop them in a collection box at your local optical shop or call any Lion!
