WELCOME TO THE MARINA LIONS E-CLUBHOUSE SITE
The Marina Lions Club is located in Marina, CA. about 10 miles north of Monterey, CA. We have been in existance since 1984. Originally, the club was a "Philipino" club known as "Marina Luz Vi Minda". But, over the years, the number of philipino members decreased until we finally shortened our name to "Marina Lions Club" since that part of our history was gone.
We are a small, but active club. We have close ties to the local High School through our Marina Leos Club. We also work with the city's Recreation Department to help kids and seniors. Most of our members belong to either the Marina United Methodist or the Epiphany Lutheran & Episcopal churches, including the Pastors! This has really worked well for all three organizations. It has given each another and different outlet for service to the community. Fortunately, we are Lions when we are Lions and don't mix religion with the club itself.
We are primarily a "service" club. We don't do a lot of socializing as a club with the exception of our Installation in June and the annual "Christmas" party in December. Most of us have such active lives outside of Lions that we just don't think of it as a "socializing" outlet! However, we DO have lots of fun with our projects. We purposefully recruit like-minded people to become members.
We invite anyone interested in becoming a Lions to contact us at 831-883-3968. And, we invite out fellow Lions to join us anytime they would like to have a visitation...just let us know ahead of time!
Yours in Lionism (YIL),
Marina Lions Club
