Our 4th Charter Anniversary was held on Saturday 4th April. President Alastair Upton handed a cheque in the sum of £135 to District Governor's Alan Hall's wife Jane for her chosen charity Guide Dogs for the Blind.

        Market Rasen Social Club member Shaun Bennett was so pleased with the excellent and thoughtful treatment he received from our Lincoln Stroke Unit , he and others at the club have raised £500 for it. This has been matched Market Rasen Lions Club. The £1000 donation was presented to staff at the stroke unit this month.

2014

Charter Anniversary 2014 held at Market Rasen Golf Club

The members of Market Rasen Lions Club have agreed a donation of £200 to assist those who have been affected by the December 2013 flooding in South Ferriby near Barton on Humber.

The South Ferriby Flood Appeal Fund is now closed but a total of £110,900 was raised. The fund has helped flooded households in South Ferriby get back on their feet and has assisted other people who incurred expenses rescuing people stranded in their homes. 

The members of the Market Rasen Lions have agreed an immediate emergency grant of £200 which has been passed to Lions Clubs International Disaster Fund inorder to purchase emergency supplies in the Philippines.
