The Lions of Massanutten Foundation, Incorporated (LOMFI) was formed in 1997. LOMFI is organized and operated exclusively for the benefit of, to perform the function of, or to carry out the purposes of the McGaheysville-Massanutten Lions Club. LOMFI will solicit, collect and otherwise raise money exclusively for charitable programs and carry on charitable, scientific, literary, or educational activities. LOMFI is a 501c3 charitable organization as designated by the Internal Revenue Service (Identification Number 54-1874970).
The five Directors of the Corporation are the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Past President of the McGaheysville-Massanutten Lions Club. The officers of the Corporation, also Members of the McGaheysville-Massanutten Lions Club, are the President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.
The principal fundraising activities for the Foundation are weekly Bingo and donations from the Public. All funds donated by the public to the Foundation are tax-deductible.
LOMFI routinely makes annual donations of over $30,000 to various charitable organizations and causes. 85% of these funds are normally expended in our local community with the balance going National and International Lions Club projects.
