December 2016 - Student Lion Elizabeth Wainwright was crowned Miss Humboldt County Civic Princess for her many hours of volunteerism to her community.

December 2016 - Lion Cyndi Bainbridge was recognized as the 2017 Lion of the Year. The award was presented by Lion Ann Pinske.
October 2016 - Lion Bob Wainwright presented Lion Ann Mixer with her Silver Centennial Membership award as the sponsor of one-year Lion Gail Zanotti.
October 2016 - Lion Joseph Ormond was inducted into the club by Lion Bob Wainwright and sponsored by Lion Cyndi Bainbridge.
July 2016 - Lion Ann Pinske was presented with a 100% Secretary award for her exceptional service to the club.
July 2016 - Lion Carlos Sanchez was recognized as the 2016 Lion of the Year. The award was presented by Lion Bob Wainwright.
May 2016 - Lion Edward Kier was inducted into the club by Lion Bob Wainwright and sponsored by Lion Heather Arroyo.
February 2016 - Lion Heather Arroyo was inducted into the club by Lion Bob Wainwright and sponsored by Lion Ann Mixer.
April 2016 - The McKinleyville Lions Club was honored to receive the 2016 Non-Profit of the Year Award. The club was one of four nominees and was chosen by the chamber members. Fifth District Supervisor Ryan Sundberg presented the Lions club with a plaque and a Certificate of Recognition from the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors at the Member’s Choice Awards banquet.
April 2016 - Long time members, Bob Wainwright and Cyndi Bainbridge were honored to have been chosen as the 2016 Azalea Award recipients for their dedication and service to the community.
October 2015 - President Bob Wainwright presented Lion Ann Pinske with her Proud Lion Award for completing five specified tasks in the first six months of membership.
October 2015 - District Governor Phyllis Rogers presented Lion Ann Mixer with her Proud Lion Award for completing five specified tasks in the first six months of membership.
