Lion Helen Williams reports that she just dropped off another 345 pairs of eyeglasses to LensCrafters! This brings the total number of glasses to 794 collected by the Merrimack Lions in 2011 for the Lions Eyeglass Recycling Program! These glasses will now journey to a regional Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center where they will be cleaned, sorted and packaged by prescription strength, and distributed to one of the over 150 million needy people worldwide.
The Merrimack Lions would like to thank the Merrimack Library, Florence's Restaurant, Merrimack Vision Care, and Dr. Ron Douville's Optometry Office for letting us put collection boxes at their locations. Please help us collect over 800 pairs of glasses in the upcoming year! (Top)
