The Morinville Lions Club was sponsored by the Edmonton Host Lions Club in April of 1949. 

We are the second oldest Club in this District. 

We have chartered four other Lions Clubs and one Lioness Club.  The St. Albert Host in 1951, Clyde in 1953, Slave Lake in 1966, Westlock in 1982 and the Morinville Lioness Club.
