Mukwonago Lions Club was chartered December 4, 1960, as a 501(C)(4) non-profit community service organization. To better serve our charitable purposes, we formed the Mukwonago Lions Foundation, Inc. April 18, 2015, as a 501(C)(3) .

All money received from the public must be returned to the public. We annually donate money for community improvements, support of youth groups, food pantries, senior programs, fire dept, police dept, Mukwonago school activities, hearing and sight disability programs, youth athletic activities, provide eye glasses to needy, cancer fund, Christmas for needy families, collect school supplies for the needy, and many similar activities. We build park shelters and other community improvements for the public use.

1960 to 1970- provided equipment and fill for park pavilion, constructed foundation, donated money and installed the roof. Started our Summerfeste with parade, MHS Sophomore Honors, Easter egg hunt, Fisheree, and donated an ambulance.

1970 to 1980- Offered vision testing, provided glaucoma and diabetes testing, donated a respirator and resuscitator, donated to baseball program, and spearheaded fund raising and donated money for ambulance, and landscaped a park, renovated park pavilion and bought new doors.

1980 to 1990- Provided a Litmus Vision Testor. Donated a rescue boat and donated bleachers at Field Park. Supported the local food pantries. Helped develop handicap accessible park, handicap accessible trail, and fishing pond.

1990 to 2000- Donated and installed playground equipment. Donated to senior citizen nutrition programs, contributions for the Library construction, and Fire Department for equipment. Improved ball diamond dugouts and infield.

2000 to 2010- built and donated four park shelters, various Field Park pavilion improvements, started the MHS scholarship program, donations to the Police Department and Fire Department equipment. The Lions painted the park buildings.

2011 TO 2020- Lions built and donated a town park shelter. Started Christmas For Families. supported Seniors On the Go. Donated to YMCA building construction and continuing support. Support for the two food pantries, Fire Department, Schools. Started 'Stuff The Bus' school supplies for families in need. Constructed the snack shack and installed an electronic remote scoreboard in Field Park. These facilities have been donated to the village for everyone to use. Much more to come.

None of this could be possible without your support. We don't receive a cent from the government or any other agency. We rely on you, our supporters who generously give to us by attending our many events, bowling tournaments, fishing jamboree and Summerfeste. These are our biggest money makers. Your attendance is vital to our survival and we are so grateful for your participation.

Don't forget, every single penny is returned to our community in dozens of ways. "WE SERVE" is our motto and we live by that.
