Welcome to Nawala Metro Lions Club (NMLC)  

The Lions Club of NAWALA METRO (THE CLUB NUMBER - 111455), which comes under The Lion District 306 C2- (Sri lanka) is a volunteer organization dedicated to leadership development through community service. Lions are an international network of 1.3 million men & women in 205 countries and geographic areas who work together to answer the needs that challenge communities around the world.

Twenty one young and enthusiastic new members who are dedicated to work towards the betterment of the community joined hands together and as a result a new club was born on the 21st of June 2011. And the club was extended by Lions Club of Jawatte Sumit - District 306C2. The New club inaugaration ceromany was held on the 28th June 2011 at the  Lions Auditorium - School Lane, Nawala and the Charter Presantation was held on 22nd Octomber 2011 at Hotel Sapphire, Wellawatte which was celibrated in grand scale with the participation of the District Governor- District 306C2 - 2010/2011 Lion Tilak Perera MJF/JP, All Past District Governors and senior Lions of the district.

The Nawala Metro Lions Club (LCNM) and the humanitarian assistance it renders to underprivileged people in Asia’s most treasured island Sri Lanka go much deeper than the acts of ‘charity’ alone. Whenever the members of LCNM get-together, problems get smaller and communities get better. That's because we help where help is needed – in our own way to our communities and around the world – with unmatched integrity and energy.
