​May 11, 2018 - The club recognizes Stonewall Jackson High School senior Benjamin Austin Burch as the recipient of our 2018 $500 Scholarship Award. Benjamin plans to study criminology at Virginia Tech.


December 11, 2017 - District Governor John Knepper recognized Lions Tommy Foltz and Harry Lam for their years of service to Lions Clubs International. Lion Tommy is a charter member of the club and has served for 60 years. He was the club's first secretary and has held a number of other leadership positions during his tenure, including president. Lion Harry has served for 40 years in many capacities, including president.


On October 30, 2017, 4 members assisted in the annual fall roadside pickup from the Adventist Academy on 211 west to the Shenandoah County line.


​On 9/25/2017 1st Vice District Governor Scott McMurrain visited the club and, while there, did us the favor of presenting the 50-year chevron and certificate to President Boyd Ritchie.


​On September 5 through 9, the club had 2 members and 1 volunteer assisted in testing students at the Adventist Academy and the southern campus of Shenandoah County Schools using SAHMSU to test sight and hearing. Approximately 500 were tested.


On September 11, 2017 the club held their annual picnic for 44 staff and residents of White Tree Manor. Our thanks to volunteers Valerie Pichot, Taylor Belleza, Miranda Benton, Peris Munene, Brittany Murillo, and Kelley Ramirez  from the Shenandoah Valley Adventist Academy who helped to serve meals. This event is truly appreciated by all the White Tree Manor.
