The New Maryland Lions Club was officially founded on September 16th, 1986, when we received our charter from Lions Clubs International. 

We host a number of fundraisers for local, provincial, national and international causes each year, but our signature event is the New Maryland Food and Toy Drive, held every December. With the assistance of the Village of New Maryland Fire Department, other volunteer organizations, and a number of corporate sponsors, we are able to collect food and toy donations for a large number of families in need. This event also allows us to provide much-needed support for the Fredericton Community Food Bank, the Community Kitchen, and other organizations such as Transition House, Chryssalis House, Grace House and the Fredericton Shelter.
