Lion Steve Dougherty for his work as volunteer cook at the VFW the 1st Thursday of each month. By the way, did you hear he was awarded as NE Lion of the year?? Congratulations!
Lion Scott Vivian for maintaining the Lions candy machines throughout the town of North East. These candy machines provide our club with added income.
Lion Barney Crawford for managing our Eyeglass program. Many people were able to get their eyes examined and glasses provided to them.
Lions Bill Dallas, Lew Teletsky, Richard Haiber, MIchelle Manfredi for performing eye exams for several of the schools in Cecil County. The Cecil Whig stopped by to check things out and published an article in their paper!
Long Time Treasurer Lion Bill Dallas has retired from Treasurer duties. He has passed the visor, pencil, and calculator to Lion Shelly McCafferty.
NEW EVENT:::: CHICKEN BBQ
Our next Chicken BBQ will be held on Saturday August 23, 2014, at the Walmart parking lot, next to Burger King. Stop by. Eat healthier.....
2014-2015 INSTALLATION OF OFFFICERS
On June 12, the 2014-2015 North East Lions Club officers were installed. PDG Ralph Schieferstein and his wife Lion Shelia were the guests. PDG Ralph is from 22D and is a member of Dover Lions Club. He is currently a part of the Multi-district club program. Our President, Lion Kevin Dill presented many of our members with letters of recognition and thanks

Susan Shannon was inducted by Past King Lion Bob Benjamin. Sponsor Lion Michelle Manfredi stood with Susan during the induction. We are excited to have Susan join our club. The Desmond Scholarship is named after her father. Pictures to follow at a later date.
