North Oldham Lions Club consists of a nicely balanced group of volunteers; 55% women and of the total, nearly all are working professionals who are thankful for what they have and are willing to help others even if it is just an hour here and there.  Small contributions of time and effort by individuals of a larger group make a huge difference in our community.  We focus on events and fund-raising while understanding time limitations.  General meetings are held just once a quarter. Dues are $60 per year. For more information, e-mail Judy Riendeau, our membership chairwoman at

North Oldham Lions Club Invites Local Veterans to Join

North Oldham Lions Club is offering local U.S. veterans a special opportunity to serve their community.

The Involve a U.S. Veteran program is a nationwide initiative sponsored by Lions Clubs International that offers qualified U.S. veterans an entrance fee waiver of up to $30 when joining a local Lions club. The waiver is available to the first 5,000 U.S. veterans, and the program runs through June 30, 2016.

Qualifying veterans receive an entrance or charter fee waiver when joining a Lions club. Eligible veterans include Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard personnel who are retired or were honorably-discharged from these services. National Guard and Reserve personnel who were called to active duty for other than training (persons may still be enlisted in these services) are also eligible. Veterans can be certified by completion of the Involve a United States of America Veterans Certification Form.

Student Members Program

Young leaders represent the future of Lions Clubs International. They bring new energy, inspire fresh ideas for service and provide increased support for local and international projects.

So, we've made it easy to get students involved.

Students enrolled in an educational institution and between the age of legal majority and through age 30 pay only half international dues (US$21.50) and are exempt of any entrance fees when they join any Lions club. Club secretaries may complete certification online using MyLCI, or submit the paper certification form with the monthly membership report or club charter application.

For more information on the Student Member Program, contact Membership Operations or Fred at .

Young Adults

North Oldham Lions Club is seeking young adult members to bring new energy and diverse skills to the club and ensure the club will be in existence in 40 years. What you can bring to NOLC:

  • Fresh ideas for service projects and activities
  • More hands to increase service
  • Membership that better reflects the community
  • Savvy Communication Skills
  • Serve with a Lion's heart helping others through selfless acts

Contrary to popular belief, young adults want to volunteer and are volunteering at a higher rate than normal. We've made it easier to get you involved; join with a friend.  Contact Fred at for more information.
