Road Cleaning Up Project

Lion Ed Fakkema Project Manager

Saturday, November 19, 2011

Thank you to all the North Whidbey Lions and others who showed up to clean the hi-way last Sat. The Lions who were there were Ryan Thomas, Rob McConchie, Richard Mack, Jessie Lowder, Ernie Branigh, Truman Lowry II, Charlie Seablom, Doug Tyler, David Glass, and Ed Fakkema;  and others were Nathan Anderton, Antonio Spotts, and Brian Goodman.  I thought that something had happened to Charlie and Nathan when they didn't come back until well after everyone else was done and gone--but they filled over twice as many bags as any other team (7 bags).  We picked up a total of 20 bags.  Thank you guys.  Ed F

Lions Health Screening  at City Beach Park

We had a beautiful day at Windjammer Park and we had 59 people go through heal screening processes in our new Northwest Lions Foundation Van.

We wish to thank the Crew from NAS Whidbey Hospital for manning up all the stations. Their professionalism as impressive, to say the least.
