Heart Disease is major cause of death in the United Kingdom

• Some communities are at greater risk than others

• People from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh are at greater risk

• People from these communities are more prone to Heart Disease

• People from these communities leave it too late to consult their GP

• People from these communities die earlier from Heart Disease than those from the indigenous population

Nottingham West Lions Club have a Vision

• With the right awareness, education and encouragement people from these communities will change their diet and behaviour and reduce the onset of Heart Disease. 

• With the right encouragement, people from these communities that already suffer from Heart Disease will take care to change their diet and behaviour and live longer.

ProjectLionHeart is a long term project, staffed and sponsored by Nottingham West Lions Club, dedicated to working in Rushcliffe Borough Council with the support of local health services in order to; reduce the on set of Heart Disease and early death from Heart Disease in people from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
