The Novato Lions Club provides ongoing support for the following Lions projects:

Wilderness Camp for Deaf Children The Wilderness Camp Experience for deaf children whose parents cannot afford the cost is funded by Camperships at the rate of $400 per child.
Lions Eye Foundation of California-Nevada The Lions Eye Foundation preserves and restores the gift of sight by providing free ophthalmic examinations, operations, and medications to the less fortunate members of our community. Club members donate $9 a year per member and contribute to fellowships to help support critical eye surgery for people who cannot afford the cost.
Lions In Sight of California-Nevada The Mission is to promote the collection of used eyeglasses for the purpose of recycling and for distribution in developing nations worldwide. Club members volunteer to help collect eyeglass, sort eyeglasees at the Vallejo warehouse, and participate in distribution worldwide.
Lions Project for Canine Companions for Independence Formed in 1983 to provide financial and service support to Canine Companions for Independence, a nonprofit organization that provides specially trained assistance dogs for people with physical, developmental and hearing disabilities.
Multiple District Four Student Speaker Foundation A California non-profit corporation with the purpose of providing scholarships to augment the prizes awarded to the winners of the California Multiple District Four Student Speaker Program. This past year, the foundation provided scholarships totaling $104,000 distributed among 17 winners in the District and Area.
Student Speaker Contest The Novato Lions Club holds a student speaker contest drawing on students from Novato and San Marin High Schools. The winner receives a monetary prize and can then proceed to the zone level contest, and potentially could reach the district and state contests and win a large scholarship prize.
