Emily Gnad receives an award and a proclamation from the City of Painesville for her winning entry in the Lions Peace Poster contest. Emily is a student at Heritage Middle School in the Painesville City Schools. Lion Pam Richmann read the proclamation at the Lions March meeting and President Paul Hach presented an award check to Emily. Emily's family was also in attendance. Congratulations to Emily.

The Painesville Lions donated to six organizations at the district Lions Convention on March 16th. The organizations listed below each recieved $250.

Lions Clubs International Foundation- The global causes are Vision, Diabetes, Hunger, Childhood Cancer, and the Environment.

Lions Eye Program at St. Vincent

Lions Hearing Aid Program

Pilot Dogs Inc. 

Pediatric Cancer- Lions STEPS program

Camp Ho Mita Koda, A camp for diabetic children located in Newbury Ohio

 

The Painesville Lions club is a 501 (c)(4) organization. Contributions to 501 (c) (4) organizations generally are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. Donations to the Painesville Lions  Club supports eye care to Painesville area residents and community service projects.
