Since 1947, the Lions Club of Park Ridge has been an integral part of the local community.  Through our annual Candy Days and other fundraising events, the club provides grants to individuals and organizations that assist with vision, hearing and other disability support needs.​ 

The club collects used eyeglasses, hearing aids and cellphones for reuse by individuals worldwide.  Locally, the Park Ridge Lions Club has supported projects and funding to:

Avenues to Independence-programs for individuals with developmental disabilities;
Center of Concern-Senior Citizen services;
Have Dreams-educational programs for children with autism;
Illinois Eye Bank;
Jeanine Schulz School;
Lighthouse for the Blind;
Maine Niles Special Recreation;
Park Ridge Community Fund.

Grants to local residents in need of vision or hearing screenings, eyeglasses, hearing aids and other low vision equpment can be provided.  Click this link for additional information.
