DISTRICT DIABETES BOWLATHON – For the 2nd year in a row, our Leo Club was the recipient of the "Traveling Leo Plaque" by being 14-T's leading Leo Club – bringing in almost $272. All funds raised by the 14-T Leo Clubs during the Diabetes Bowlathon goes to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. – A special thanks goes out to ALL those who helped us raise money for diabetes education and research in the past – it may be those dollars that we raise that will help eliminate blindness due to diabetes! 100% of the money raised goes to local health facilities for diabetes education and research. Over the past 8 years, the Penbrook Lions Club has raised over $16,000 for this worthwhile project and we have twice been the recipient of the traveling "Old Shoe Award" (14-T Lions Club raising the most money). The Penbrook Lions invite anyone to join us to help raise money for this very worthwhile cause.
