Earth DayTree Planting
We will be participating with a Girl Scout troop to celebrate a combined Arbor/Earth day celebration sponsored by the City of Peoria. There will be a proclamation by the Mayor of Peoria (Lion Bob Barrett) recognizing the event. The trees are to be planted along a newly completed portion of the Agua Fria river trail.
The event starts at 07:30am on Saturday the 21st of April. It will be on the Agua Fria trail, East of 83rd Ave. on Oraibi Dr. This is South of Beardsley and North of Union Hills .
The street for parking is W. Oraibi Dr. which is north of Union Hills and 83rd Avenue., turn to the right. There will be cones put out for parking here for those that can't walk far. Prefered parking will be available at Uncle Sam’s which is located at 18913 N. 83rd Ave. which is approximately 1/8 of a mile (walking) from the site. Be sure to bring a pair of work gloves and to wear Lions gear; shirts, vests, hats etc.
