It has been the deliberation of the members of Leo Club of PJ Metro to convert the club into a Lions Club since 2005 when a few of the ‘senior’ members were ‘coming of age’ – a concern to the club’s membership as we wanted to maintain this ‘family’ of ours. The decision was not easy – to join a current Lions Club or to begin our own. However the majority voted to convert the club and take up the challenge of ‘raising’ our own Club. Soon, preparations were made to register the Lions Club of PJ City with Lions Club International and also with the Malaysian Registrar of Societies. By 26 June 2007, the inception of the club was done – being the 76th club to join the District 308B2 family. Under the leadership of Charter President Chan Kee Oi, the club has achieved 4 Gold awards during the Lions Convention 2008 for Club, President, Secretary and Treasurer. Currently in its 2nd year, the members of Lions Club of PJ City are continuing their community work and strive to provide services with LIONS spirit! We Serve !
