Hello Lion Tree Planters!
Our opportunities to plant trees grow as we network with jurisdictions (cities, parks forests) and NGOs (other nonprofit service groups like us.)
Save these dates for actual putting trees in the ground.
- Monday, January 16th, 2012: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service, Richmond, CA
- Friday, March 30, 2012. César Chávez Day -Observed date of Califronia Holiday or Saturday, March 31, 2012 a day of service. Urban Forest on the Richmond Greenway (16th and Ohio)
- Important: Please RSVP directly to the planners so they bring the appropriate equipment for all volunteers, and please be prompt so we can assign you a team and a tree planting location. Also, wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, and close-toed shoes. Bring water, a snack, and a pair of work gloves; we have all the rest of the necessary supplies: tools, trees, and stakes.
