The Pompey Lions Club Scholarships
The Pompey Lions Club annually awards scholarships to graduating High School seniors. This year we will be awarding four $1,000.00 scholarships.
To be eligible:
· Student must either live within the Township of Pompey or attend Fabius-Pompey Junior/Senior High School.
· Must be planning to enroll in a college, training school or technical school
· Has been involved in volunteering and community service
This scholarship, unlike many “Merit” based scholarships, places a stronger emphasis on the student’s involvement within their community. Community service and assisting those less fortunate than ourselves is one of the founding principles of Lionism.
Completed applications including a copy of the student’s transcript must be submitted to the Pompey Lions Club, c/o Thomas Palladino, at the address shown below no later than Monday, May 2nd 2011.

The Pompey Lions Club offers fund raising opportunities for you
If your club/organization is located in the Pompey a/o Fabius community and is looking for ways to generate funds, consider preparing a dinner for one or more of the Pompey Lions Club meetings. The Pompey Lions Club meet evenings the 1st and 3rd Thursday’s of each a month beginning in September and ending in June at the Pompey Firehouse. By preparing dinner for a single meeting guarantees you a minimum of $150.00 for your effort.
