In August 2011, I had the opportunityto visit Salama, Kenya on a mission trip with First Baptist Church of PowellTennessee.  Our main goal was to build beds for an orphanage, andto conduct medical checkups and dispensing medicine within local villages. The Powell Lion's Club donated hundreds of pairs of used glasses. Within the first two days, all the glasses were gone.  The localswere so excited to be able to see to read God's word.  The first pictureis a man named Gideon.  2nd picture is me helping Martin to determinewhich pair worked best for him.  3rd picture is Martin after receivinghis glasses with one of the nurses who went with us, Kristin Greenwood.
