World Malaria Day  (25 Apr 2015)

Our Club conducted a seminar on World Malaria Day on 25th April 2015. This seminar was conducted by Lion Soumya Singhal. Many Lions and Lionades gave their views on cleanliness and prevention of Malaria. The program was attended by 32 Lions and 30 Lionades and many children.

Women's Month  (29 Mar 2015)

Our Club conducted a seminar on Womens Month on 29th March 2015. The special thing about this seminar was that this seminar was conducted by the Lionades of the club. The program was hosted by Lionade Payal Singhal (Mrs.President) and Lionade Anu Singhal (Mrs.Secretary). Many Lionades and children gave their views on the importance of Women in various fields. The program was attended by 30 Lions and 30 Lionades and many kids.

Holi Milan (06 Mar 2015)

Lions Club of Rampur Upkar organised a camp of its club at Qila ground after HOLI, where a HOLI MILAN PROGRAM is organised every year. A number of members were present at the camp and spread brotherhood by meeting and greeting HOLI with the people of Rampur. This camp was organised under the Presidentship of Lion Nimish Singhal.

Holi Celebration - 04 Mar 2015

Lions Club of Rampur Upkar celebrated the HOLI FESTIVAL with great pump and show under the leadership of our President, Lion Nimish Singhal. There was an arrangement of DJ with floor for dance. Convenors Lion Rajeev Gupta and Lionade Sonia Gupta looked after all the arrangements of the program very smoothly.
A Hasya Kavi Sammelan was organised, in which the Lions, Lionades and kids of the club members participated. Chatpati Chat was arranged for all.
Everybody enjoyed a lot in the program. A number of gifts were given for different performances of the members and the lionades. The program was followed by dinner.

Blood Donation Camp  (25 Feb 2015)

Our club conducted a Blood Donation Camp at Vardan Hospital , Suraj Cinema Road, Rampur on 25 February 2015 from 10:30 am onwards. This camp was conducted under the convenorship of Lion Sachin Agarwal Sarraf and Lion Harpreet Singh Grover and leadership of President, Lion Nimish
Singhal. A fully professional team of doctors came from Vivekanand Hospital, Moradabad for Blood collection.
Around 35 volunteers came in this camp to donate their blood but only 27 were able to do so, due to some rejection in their blood sample. Out of 27 blood donors, 17 were lion members and rest 10 were from general public. The donors were provided fresh juice, biscuits etc. after blood donation.
President Lion Nimish Singhal emphasized on the importance of Blood donation and Eye Donation on this occasion. Around 40 members were present in this camp.

 

Sweater Distribution to Poor & Needy Students in School (11 Feb 2015)

LIONS CLUB OF RAMPUR UPKAR distributed sweaters at Modern Public School , Dhamora on 11 February 2015 to the poor and needy students.
This camp was conducted under the convenorship of Lion Bharat Bhushan Gupta and leadership of President, Lion Nimish Singhal. Around 120 sweaters were distributed in this camp. Around 20 members were present in the camp.

Free Eye Check-up Camp (11&12 Jan 2015)

LIONS WORLDWIDE WEEK OF SERVICE

Our club conducted a 2 day Eye check up camp at Modern Public School , Dhamora on 11&12 January 2015 i.e in the LIONS WORLDWIDE WEEK OF SERVICE as announced by Lions International. This camp was conducted under the convenorship of Lion Bharat BHushan Gupta and leadership of President, Lion Nimish Singhal.
Around 150 patients were examined in this camp and around 70 patients were diagnosed for Cataract and were taken to Dalmia Eye Hospital for Free operations.
The patients were examined by well known Eye Surgeons Dr.Kishori Lal and Lion Dr. Vikram Lal and their team. The patients were discharged from the hospital on 17 January 2015. Around 20 members were present in the camp.

Save Girl Child Seminar (24 Jan 15)

Our Club conducted a seminar on Save Girl Child on the occasion of Save Girl Child Day on 24th January 2015. The special thing about this seminar was that this seminar was conducted by the Lionades of the club. The program was handled by Lionade Payal Singhal (Mrs.President) and Lionade Anu Singhal(Mrs.Secretary). Many Lionades gave their views on this topic. The program was attended by 30 Lions and 30 Lionades and many kids.

Blanket Distribution (18 Dec 14)

Our Club distributed 46 blankets collected in the Mega Social Welfare Camp, organised in November, under the leadership of our President, Lion Nimish Singhal and Convenorship of Lion Bharat Bhushan Gupta to the poor and needy. This activity was done by roaming in chilled winter night of 18th December and searching the suitable slum areas, railway station, bus stand etc

 

World Handicapped Day

Our club organized a seminar on World Handicapped Day on 3 December, 2014. The meeting was conducted by our Secretary, Lion Ashish Singhal and was presided by our President, Lion Nimish Singhal. At last, Lion Soumya Singhal thanked all the members for attending the seminar.
This seminar was attended by around 25 Lion members. The club earlier donated a number of tricycles to the handicapped people in the month of November.

New Year Celebration and Tribute of our Lion Friends

Lions Club of Rampur Upkar celebrated the arrival of NEW YEAR with great pump and show under the leadership of our President, Lion Nimish Singhal. There was an arrangement of DJ with floor for dance. Convenor Lion Pankaj Arora looked after all the arrangements of the program very smoothly. A number of fun games were organised by the other Convenor Lion Sachit Agarwal and his team of members.
Everybody enjoyed a lot in the program. A number of gifts were given for different performances of the members and the lionades.
A tribute was also given to our deceased members MJF Lion Jagpreet Singh Wadhwa and Lion Prabhat Gupta.

MEGA SOCIAL WELFARE CAMP

(15 November 2014)

A MEGA SOCIAL WELFARE CAMP was organized by LIONS CLUB OF RAMPUR UPKAR  on15th November, 2014 at Hotel The Opal, Bareilly Road, Rampur. This camp was conducted on the occasion of Installation Ceremony of the new President, Lion Nimish Singhal. The following dignitaries were present in the function:
1. Chief Guest : MJF Lion Jagdish Rai Goel, Multiple Chairperson, MD 321
2. Keynote Speaker : MJF Lion Rajeev Mittal, District Governor, 321A1
3. Guest of Honour : Mr.K.M.Agarwal, Past President ICAI and SAFA

Following activities were executed in the MEGA SOCIAL WELFARE CAMP by the lucky hands of the present Dignitaries:
1. Six tricycles were distributed to the needy handicapped persons
2. Seven sewing machines were distributed to needy poor ladies, so that they can start working to earn their livelihood.
3. Twenty sets of tables and chairs were handed over to the incharge of Orphanage “Rajkiye Shishu Sadan” for children residing there.
4. Many scholarships were given to the needy students of different schools and colleges.
5. Forty six blankets were handed over to the convener of Blanket Distribution Program, so that the same can be distributed in cold winter nights by tracing the
real needy of the blanket.
All contribution was done collectively by the members of LIONS CLUB OF RAMPUR UPKAR (IDENT. # 4310, CLUB # 58049, DISTRICT 321C1).

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (6 Oct 2014)

Our Club promoted "Swachh Bharat Abhiyan" (i.e.Clean India Mission) on October 6, 2014 under the leadership of our President, Lion Nimish Singhal. This
mission was started by Our Prime Minister, Mr.Narendra Modi on 2nd October, 2014 on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. He asked the whole country to
give support in this mission, so that by 2nd October, 2019, we should make our country clean and give the gift to Mahatma Gandhi on his 150th birthday.
The Club Secretary, Lion Ashish Singhal guided the members and the lionades of the club in this direction. All the members, lionades and kids took pledge to
give their support for making Bharat Clean, by not throwing garbage here and there and also teaching others about the same.

RAINBOW 2014-15 PRIZE DISTRIBUTION (20 Sep 14)

Our club distributed the prizes of Rainbow-2014, in which 1549 participants took part. The names of winners are as follows:

Teachers Day Celebration (20 Sep 14)

Our club celebrated the Teachers day and awarded to 6 special teachers of Rampur on this occasion. The meeting was conducted under the leadership of Club
President, Lion Nimish Singhal. The guests were welcomed by the club Secretary, Lion Ashish Singhal and MOC of the Program was Lion Vikas Saxena. The
thanks was given by Lion Harish Dudeja.
Our President said that since all the mothers are the first teachers of any child, they should also be awarded as the teachers and thus presented all the lionades
with a small gift.

Media Felicitation (20 Sep 14)

Our club felicitated the Editors and Photographers of all the three newspapers (i.e.Amar Ujala, Hindustan and Dainik Jagran) of Rampur. The meeting was
conducted under the leadership of Club President, Lion Nimish Singhal. The guests were welcomed by the club Secretary, Lion Ashish Singhal and MOC of the

International Literacy day  (08 Sep 14)

Our club organised a seminar on International Literacy Day on 8 September, 2014. The meeting was conducted by our Secretary, Lion Ashish Singhal and was presided by our President, Lion Nimish Singhal. Our President informed that Lions Club International is the world's largest NGO and that Literacy is always on their priority list. Now also two programs of literacy are in progress. These programs are LIONS QUEST and READING ACTION PLAN (RAP).

Our Club Chairperson RAP, Lion Atul Kapoor, guided about RAP program and told that under this program a lot of study material is being provided by the District, Multiple and International Level that can be used to spread literacy.

After that the Club Chairperson Lions Quest, Lion Harish Dudeja, guided about LIONS QUEST program and informed that Quest not only helps in spreading Literacy but also emphasizes on the Basic Education and Moral Values. He also promised to conduct a Quest workshop for the teachers of Rampur, in which an International Trainer will train them through his valuable guidance. This program is certified all over the world.

At last, Lion Bharat Pawa thanked all the members for attending the seminar. This seminar was attended by around 25 Lion members.

 

Rainbow -2014

 

Our Club organises "Rainbow", a well known and accepted district level drawing competition. “Rainbow” is a fund raising project of Lions Club of Rampur Upkar to help the disabled and poor. Each single penny is accounted for and utilized only for the purpose of service.We are proud to inform that in “Rainbow 2014” total 1521 students participated and encouraged us for continuing this activity every year. Last year this participation was about 1020 students.

This year's "Rainbow 2014" was scheduled on 24th August 2014 at Ramleela Inter College, Kosi Mandir, Rampur. We gave the participation certificate for all the participants on the spot. We also distributed biscuit packets to all the participants. As a special feature, the winner of Middle Category in age group of 11 to 13 as on November 15, 2014 may get a chance to participate in LIONS INTERNATIONAL PEACE POSTER CONTEST. There were seven different categories as follows:

1. Play Group: Pre-Nursery and Nuesery

2. Kindergarten: LKG and UKG

3. Kids: Class I to III

4. Junior:Class IV to V

5. Middle: Class VI to VIIi

6. Senior: Class IX to XII

7. Open Category: Open to all other

The whole program was organised under the guidance of our Program Chairman, Lion Harish Dudeja and Program Co-Chairman, Lion Sachit Agarwal along with the President, Lion Nimish Singhal, Secretary, Lion Ashish Singhal and Treasurer, Lion Mohit Gupta. Our whole club participated in this activity to make it a grand success.

 

Tree Plantation on Independence Day

 

 

Our Club celebrated the independence day by attending the program of Flag Hoisting at Euro Kids Play School and later conducted the Drawing Competition "Rainbow".
After this, our Club planted 180 ornamental plants in Friends Colony Park, Civil Lines, Rampur. The main difference between a normal tree plantation and this activity was that, our club promoted "Women Empowerment" and thus this tree plantation was done by  the Lionades of the club.

 

Youth Day Celebration on International Youth Day

Our Club celebrated International Youth Day on August 12, 2014 under the leadership of our President, Lion Nimish Singhal. This was a part of Lions International Cetennial Service Challenge - " Engaging our Youth".

The Club Secretary, Lion Ashish Singhal informed that the agenda of United Nations for International Youth Day for the year 2014 has been set as "Mental Health Matters" and guided all the members to work on this line.

The program was attended by Lion Mohit Gupta, Lion Vikas Saxena, Lion Sachit Agarwal, Lion Ashish Jindal, Lion Harish Dudeja, Lion Soumya Singhal, Lion Shubham Singhal, Lion Vipul Agarwal, Lion Ranu Agarwal etc.

 

 

Teej Celebration - 27 Jul 2014

Our Club celebrated Teej Function on July 27, 2014 under the leadership of our President, Lion Nimish Singhal. The theme of the program was "Dulhan". All the Lionades were beautifully dressed as brides and were welcomed by Lionade Payal Singhal and Lionade Anu Singhal. The program was successfully conducted by Lionade Anushri Agarwal and Lionade Shivani Singhal.

Lionade Naina Kapoor was selected as the Most Attractive Bride. Lionade Sugandha Agarwal was selected "Teej Queen" while Lionade Deepa Agarwal was the First runner up.

All the Lions, Lionades and the kids enjoyed every moment of the program with dances, games, chatpati chat followed by dinner.

July 27, 2014 was also an important day i.e. Parents Day. After the Teej celebration, Lion Harish Dudeja conducted a small seminar on Parents Day and shared the tips about the same.

At the end of the program, our Secretary, Lion Ashish Singhal gave a vote of thanks to all.
