2013 Annual Duck Race

Saturday, August 31st the ducks will be back in downtown Red Boiling Springs for the Lions Club Annual Duck Day Festival. The duck race event is used to raise needed funds for the RBS Lions to provide educational programs, eye glasses & hearing aids within the Community.

The festivities begin at 10:00 am in the Palace Park on Salt Lick Creek in Red Boiling Springs.

In this unique competition, ducks can be “adopted” for $5.00 each and both the fastest and the slowest duck win. The duck competition begins at 2:00 with the winning duck, the one that makes it through the chute first, winning $100.00, and the final “lame duck" will receive $50.00.

A variety of music will be  announced closer to Annual Duck Race Day.

The club also plans to have a variety of vendors with plenty of good food and  festival goodies you can't do without such as popcorn, soda, and possibly cotton candy.

Several games will be available at $1.00 each, most involving a duck theme, where everyone is a winner.

Although The RBS Lions Club has pancake breakfasts, bake sales and a variety of other events this particular event will make the difference in being able to provide funding for several in need.
