We offer:
Harvey Swartz Memorial Park: This Park is owned by the club and is constantly being improved upon. A pavilion has just been built to use for late spring, summer and early fall use. There are 2 small ponds that will be frozen and maintained during the winter.
Wheelchairs and Walkers: We have wheelchairs and walkers for those that needs assistance getting around
Hospital beds: we will deliver and setup bed then pick it back up after the need is over
Scholarships: A student from East Juniata High School and Midd-West School District will each receive an awarded $500 for Higher Education after 1st Term has been completed
We Donated Last Year:
$7,000: to save the Zendt Nursing Home (over the past 2yrs)
$1,000: to the Richfield Community Center every year
$375: each to the Richfield Fire Co. and the Freemont Fire Co.
$100: each to the East Juniata and Midd-West High School Chorus
$100: to support Missionary Trip to Costa Rica
$200: to 2 Midd-West band members to perform with Lion’s State Band
Community Projects:
Charter Troop 61 and Pack 116: We supply the scouts a place to meet called the Scout Hall located at Graybill’s Grove
Christmas in the Park: Organized by our Club on the Saturday after Thanksgiving (Food, fun and entertainment) each year
Christmas Lights: we decorate the town for the Holidays
Bloodmobiles: We volunteer to help the Red Cross when in Richfield
Transportation: We have volunteers that will drive senior citizens to their appointments
