Meetings

About Our Tradition:

The Richmond Host-Tuckahoe Lions Club was chartered on January 30, 1922 and was proud to have to have Lion Ben Ruffin serve as Lions Club International President that year.

The club had a direct involvement in chartering 4 additional clubs in our District: Petersburg in August 1924, Bon Air-Manchester-Midlothian in March 1934; Bowling Green in April 1946 and Richmond West Breakfast in March 1972.

Meeting in the John Marshall Hotel during our early history, we moved to Miller & Rhoads, Holiday Inn-Franklin Street, Holiday Inn 3200 West Broad and recently at Byram's Lobster House at 3215 W. Broad Street.  We are now meeting at McLean's Restaurant for lunch at noon the first Thursday of the month, then at Extra Billys BBQ on Broad St on the third Thursday at 5:45 p.m.

Our recent Community involvement includes the Annual Christmas Party for the Blind, White Canollections and the Project Homeless Connect at the Richmond Convention Center in November.

In March, 2010, we received the City of Richmond Community Service Award.
