Annual Fund Raisers
Below is a list of our popular annual fundraisers. Some of these are events while others are based on selling products or services. We encourage you to learn more about the River Hills / Lake Wylie Lions Club events (by selecting the titles) and hope to see you soon!
Our Annual Benefit Dinner is a gala event with proceeds earmarked for the Emergency Medical Service. Join us on October 4th at the River Hills Country Club. The highlight is the fun "Reverse Raffle".
For decades our Lions Club has brought North Carolina's fines, freshly cut Fraser Fir trees and wreaths to our borrowed Christmas Tree lot at Camp Thunderbird. Lions prepare and decorate the lot, display the trees and sell them to the general public. The Lions will also deliver the trees.
Lions Charity Golf Tournament -
The Lions Charity Golf Tournament is an annual charity fundraiser tradition played at the River Hills Country Club, is open to all and the registration donation does not favor either Lions or Country Club members. The Pancake Breakfast is held on a Saturday Morning, the first or second week of December at Camp Thunderbird and features Father Christmas and children's activities.
River Hills / Lake Wylie Directory -
Our largest fundraiser, the River Hills Lions Club Directory, provides a unique telephone and e-mail address directory for River Hills residents and Lions Club members. The drive kicks off in late January and new directories arrive in late May
