The Riverside Township Lions Club aids our community and the world through the following:

The Riverside Township Lions Club sponsors a Chicken Dinner and participates in Lions Candy Day, to fund our philanthropic activities.

The Riverside Township Lions Club supports many charitable organizations serving the blind and deaf, as well as disabled children and adults who have special needs.

The Riverside Township LIons Club maintains eyeglass and hearing aid collection boxes at churches and local business establishments. Our club collected over 1,700 used eyeglasses and hearing aids in 2010 which are refurbished, and then, as part of a Lions International program, are provided free to people throughout the world who are unable to afford them. Used eyeglasses and hearing aids can be deposit in the special Lions collection boxes at the Riverside library, the North Riverside library, the Riverside Township hall, and the North Riverside commons building.

The Riverside Township Lions Club periodically provides local hearing, vision, and skin cancer screenings, which are offered free of charge to all Township residents.

The Riverside Township Lions Club provides volunteers to assist in the Vision First Eye Clinic.  This project provides free eye exams and glasses to 5,000 children annually from the Chicago Public Schools system.
