WELCOME TO THE RUTHERFORDTON, NC WEBSITE!
Our club is located in Rutherfordton, NC, which is in the foothills of Western North Carolina. We serve the Spindale and Rutherfordton areas. Our club was formed on October 14, 1954, with 25 charter members. We currently have 15 members.
We are part of the Western District of NC: District 31L.
Usually our meetings include a meal, a business meeting, and usually a guest speaker from a local business, charity, educational organization, or government agency.
Membership is open to anyone who is at least 18 years old, of good moral character, and committed to the work, ideals, and Code of Ethics of the Lions. Each member must be sponsored by an active member and approved by the Board of Directors. Following the application and approval process, a candidate is asked to join the organization.
The dues for a regular member in the Rutherfordton Lions Club are $30 per quarter, which covers the cost of administrative expenses such as club meeting expenses and the district, state, and international dues. It does not cover meals. We usually meet once a month in a restaurant and have a meal at each meeting. There is an additional fee for the Club Christmas Party for members and their guests who attend.
