We are a 100% club providing donations to the eight major service areas recognized by District 2-A2 and Lions International.
A picnic is sponsored each year for more than 400 children with disabilities at the Texas Lions Camp in Kerrville, Texas.
Annually, we sponsor the Lions Mobile Eye Screening Unit (MESU) to provide community vision screenings.
Over 500 pairs of used eyeglasses are collected each year to be refurbished for the needy.
We support the Edgewood ISD Family Alliance Conference and health fair, as well as the Edgewood ISD Parent Volunteers? Appreciation Dinner.
.We have contributed $550.00 in the form of memoriams in honor of our deceased Lions and family members.
We have supported 4 foreign exchange students.
Edgewood students are sponsored for participation in the Lions Diabetes, Drug Awareness and Youth Activities Contests.
The Edgewood Lions Club also participates in fundraiser:the Fundraiser that is coming up is: Macy's Shopping Pass to recognize non-profit organizations. Which we will be working on soon.
We will also be having a Bar-B-Que this fall. Thanks to all Lions that helped with this event it was very successful.
This October on the 21st we will be having our Fall Social. We will be having this event at the Hungary Farmer on Hackberry. Our District Governor will be joining us with words of wisdom.
Our club provides an annual Santa's Surprise Party at Laser Quest, with Santa giving out Christmas Stockings filled with fun things. This year Santa will join us on December 14th.
In December we will be hosting our 31st annual Young Womens Scholarship Pageant. This year we will be having the Pageant at the Edgewood Fine Arts Recital Hall. This will be held on December 19th.
